Grace Nelson has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Grace started their career as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Wyoming, where they oversaw the involvement of low-income and first-generation students in the peer-mentor program. Grace then worked as a Program Coordinator at Texas A&M University, advising and supervising first-year, first-generation students. Grace also served as a Qualified Administrator at Diversity Council, leading sessions and training on intercultural development. At the University of Minnesota-Rochester, they held roles as a Senior Student Success Coach and Teaching Team Lead & Instructor, developing training programs and facilitating staff meetings. Currently, Grace works as the Director of Education Programs at the American Rental Association.
Grace Nelson's education history includes a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, which they obtained between the years 2005 and 2009. Grace then pursued a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling/Counselor from the University of Wyoming from 2010 to 2012. Recently, in 2023 and 2024, they attended the University of Minnesota to study Project Management.
Additionally, Grace Nelson obtained a certification as a Qualified Administrator from INTERCULTURAL DEVELOPMENT INVENTORY, LLC (IDI, LLC) in June 2015.
