Prior to AARC, Marlene held multiple leadership positions at the American Fire Sprinkler Association (AFSA) from September 1997 to January 2024, including Vice President of Meetings & Education Services and Interim Chief Operating Officer, focusing on enhancing the performance and efficiency of the meetings and education departments. Marlene holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from the University of New Mexico, completed in 1989.
