Amy Singler is a seasoned professional in river restoration and aquatic habitat management, currently serving as a Fish Passage Policy Advisor with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service since November 2023. Amy has held the position of Director of River Restoration at American Rivers since June 2008, where responsibilities include advancing policies for river restoration and dam removal across the United States. Amy’s previous roles include serving on the board of the National Fish Habitat Partnership and coordinating an ecology program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, alongside various internships focused on restoration and research. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Water Resources Management from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor of Science in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Rochester.
