Elizabeth R. is an accomplished environmental leader with extensive experience in river restoration and protection. Currently serving as the Great Lakes Regional Director and Senior Advisor at American Rivers and the American Rivers Action Fund since October 2025, Elizabeth drives advocacy for clean water and sustainable river management. Previous roles include Director of Environment at Public Sector Consultants, where Elizabeth led teams on complex environmental projects, and Great Lakes Stewardship Portfolio Manager at the Great Lakes Fishery Trust, managing significant grant portfolios aimed at promoting ecological awareness. Elizabeth's early career includes leadership positions at the Huron River Watershed Council, where impactful campaigns and legislation were developed to protect water resources. Elizabeth holds a Master of Science in Ecosystem Science and Management/Environmental Policy from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Environmental Studies from Lawrence University.
