Sarah Puckett

Sarah Puckett is an experienced environmental professional currently serving as the Director of California Central Valley River Conservation at American Rivers since May 2021. Prior to this role, Sarah held the position of Principal at Sarah Puckett Water Resources Consulting, managing creek and wetland restoration projects and conducting research to promote stormwater as a valuable resource. Sarah's career also includes significant roles such as Senior Restoration Ecologist at the Natural Heritage Institute, where over $32 million in grant funding was secured for restoration projects, and Restoration Associate at Save the Bay, focusing on restoring priority sites around the San Francisco Bay-Delta Estuary. Educational qualifications include a Master's Degree in Environmental Management with a focus on Wetland Ecology from Duke University and a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Economics and Policy and Geography from the University of California, Berkeley.
