Alison Black has a diverse work experience in the transportation industry. Alison started their career in 2000 at the American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA), where they held the position of Senior Vice President & Chief Economist. In 2014, they joined the ARTBA Transportation Investment Advocacy Center as a Director. In 2018, they became the Executive Director of the Council of University Transportation Centers - CUTC, where they oversaw the operations of the association. Alison'sresponsibilities included managing the professional and student awards program, membership development, and organizing annual events. Alison'stenure at CUTC ended in December 2021.
Alison Black holds a PhD in Economics from The George Washington University. Alison also has a Master's degree in International Economics and Latin American Studies from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). Additionally, they obtained a Bachelor's degree from Syracuse University, where they studied Latin American Studies, Spanish, and International Relations.
