Michael Forsythe CPA MBA has a diverse work experience in finance and accounting. Michael started their career as a Staff Accountant at AvalonBay Communities, where they prepared financial statements, reviewed the general ledger, and reconciled bank statements. Michael then moved on to become a Controller at the American Road and Transportation Builders Association, where they oversaw accounting, audit, HR, budgeting, and financial reporting functions. Later, they served as Chief Financial Officer at NXL Construction Services, Inc., responsible for directing the organization's accounting functions and preparing financial reports. Michael then joined the IRS as a Revenue Agent, conducting examinations and investigations of complex tax returns filed by large businesses and researching complex tax issues.
