Courtney Chandler is an accomplished biologist with extensive experience in microbial pathogenesis and mass spectrometry. Currently serving as a biologist at the FDA since January 2022, Courtney also contributes as a writer for the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB). Previous roles include postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, focusing on mass spectrometry techniques to investigate disease mechanisms, and at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, where research centered on fungal pathogens and potential antifungal therapeutics. Additionally, Courtney has experience as an adjunct professor, teaching advanced molecular biology courses, and has co-authored numerous publications throughout an academic career that includes a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore.
