Emily Ulrich

Emily Ulrich is a Technical Editor at the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology since 2022. Prior to this role, Emily served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2018 to 2022, working in Professor Cathy Drennan's laboratory. Emily began their research career as a Graduate Student Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from 2012 to 2018, collaborating in Professor Wilfred van der Donk's laboratory. Emily also gained experience as a Lab Analyst I at Pace Analytical from 2011 to 2012, in a contract position at 3M. Academically, Emily earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry and Biology from Macalester College.
