Sara Curtis has extensive work experience in the field of human resources. Since 2007, they have been working for the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) where they currently serve as the Director of Human Resources. Sara Curtis, M.B.A., CAE, SPHR, completed their education at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater from 2002 to 2005, earning an MBA in Management, Technology/Education, and Human Resources. Prior to that, they attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1997 to 2001, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Behavioral Science and Law.
In addition to their academic background, Sara has pursued various certifications to enhance their professional expertise. In 2009, they obtained the Senior Professional in Human Resources® (SPHR®) Certification from HRCI. In 2017, they earned the Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation from ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership.
Moreover, Sara has also recently completed two diversity, equity, and inclusion certificate programs. In May 2021, they obtained the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education. In September 2021, they completed the Diversity and Inclusion Certificate Program offered by Cornell University.
