Gayle Claman

Gayle Claman, CAE, currently serves as the Managing Director of Education & Credentialing at the American Society of Civil Engineers, where responsibilities include setting the strategic roadmap and leading business planning for continuing education and professional advancement functions, as well as supporting Civil Engineering Certification, Inc. Previously, Gayle held multiple leadership roles at the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology from 2013 to 2019, including Chief Learning Officer and Senior Director of Scientific Education, focusing on strategy development and management of education and journal activities. Gayle’s experience also encompasses significant positions at AAHPERD, where duties included leading research and education programming, as well as professional services management. Academic qualifications include a BS in Health Science from James Madison University, a Graduate Certificate in e-Learning from George Mason University, and an MS in Health Promotion Management from Marymount University.
