Dmitry Gurvits

Dmitry Gurvits has over 17 years of experience in the field of information technology. Dmitry is currently the Director of Cloud Infrastructure at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), where they oversee all things cloud, AWS, and Azure, as well as assists with daily infrastructure operations. Before joining ASCO, Dmitry worked at IQ Solutions, where they held various roles, including Director of Information Technology and Security, IT Manager/System Architect, Helpdesk Manager/Senior Network Engineer, and Senior Network/Systems Engineer. During their time at IQ Solutions, they were responsible for managing IT operations, policy development, budgeting, system security, and vendor negotiations. Dmitry also led multiple software and hardware migrations and played a key role in the migration from physical infrastructure to a VMWare based infrastructure. Prior to IQ Solutions, Dmitry worked at CBRE as a Senior Network Engineer and Field Technical Support, providing technology support for local offices and the whole company. Overall, Dmitry has a strong background in IT operations, cloud infrastructure, system architecture, and network engineering.

Dmitry Gurvits holds a Master's degree in Information Systems System Engineering from the University of Maryland Global Campus, which they obtained in 2020. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer and Information Systems Security from the same university in 2019. In 1997, they pursued studies in Mathematics and Computer Science at Virginia Tech. Dmitry has also obtained additional certifications in various fields, including AlienVault, Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect, Dell Compellent, Microsoft Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer: Security, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, Microsoft Office 365, and VmWare Certified Professional.
