Akhil Thomas

Akhil Thomas has a diverse work experience. Akhil is currently serving as the Chapter President at ISPE. Prior to that, they worked as a Pharmacy Intern at Pentec Health, where they were responsible for compliance with all USP 797 guidelines and conducting assessments of patient information. Akhil also served as the New Member Educator/Education Chair of TUSP Chapter at Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity. In addition, they held the position of Vice President at both the TUSP Chapter of ASCP and AMCP. Before entering the pharmaceutical field, Akhil worked as a Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health. Akhil also gained experience as a Sales Associate at Gap.

Akhil Thomas completed their education at Temple University School of Pharmacy from 2021 to 2025, earning a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree. Prior to that, they attended Georgia State University from 2018 to 2021, where they pursued a Pre-Pharm degree with a focus on Chemistry.

In addition to their academic achievements, Akhil also obtained several certifications in the healthcare field. In September 2021, they obtained a Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Certification from Temple University School of Pharmacy. Akhil also obtained a Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy Intern License from the Pennsylvania Pharmacy Board in August 2021. Additionally, they achieved an Inhaler patient counseling certification from Temple Health – Temple University Health System in February 2022 and a Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association in March 2023.
