Andrea Fischer

Andrea Fischer serves as the Director of Communications at the American Society of Hematology, where responsibilities include overseeing marketing, public relations, and digital strategy for the organization, which supports over 18,000 global members. Prior experience includes serving as Account Director at Subject Matter, managing communication strategies for national non-profit clients, and as a Public Affairs Specialist at the FDA, where media relations and proactive communications were key duties. Additional roles include Account Manager at Home Front Communications, Deputy Communications Director for a gubernatorial campaign, and various positions at The Rossman Group. Andrea holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Integrative Public Relations from Central Michigan University and is pursuing a Master of Science in Health Communication at Boston University.
