Geoff Shannon

Geoff Shannon is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in public relations, writing, and editing. Currently serving as the Deputy Communications Director and Public Relations Officer for the City of Baltimore since September 2021, Geoff has also operated as a Freelance Writer and Project Manager since 2005, working with various clients such as the Maryland State Bar Association and Major League Lacrosse. Prior experience includes serving as a Copywriter at Clever Caboose from September 2020 to August 2023 and as Managing Editor at Inside Lacrosse from 2005 to 2019. Earlier roles included reporting for local newspapers and writing for Tulane University publications. Geoff holds a Bachelor of Science degree in History from Tulane University, completed in 2004.
