Paulo Kuriki, MD, serves as an Assistant Professor at UT Southwestern Medical Center since August 2023, while also acting as a Sectra Representative and Nuance Liaison. With extensive experience in AI and neuroradiology, Paulo is the Vice Chair of the Machine Learning Education Subcommittee at the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) and a reviewer for the Journal of Digital Imaging and European Radiology. As a member of the American Society of Neuroradiology, Paulo reviews for AJNR AI and contributes to the Radiological Society of North America's AI Data Standards Subcommittee. Previously, Paulo held the position of Head of AI in Diagnostic Operations at Dasa and co-founded MachinerIA, focusing on AI consultancy. Paulo possesses strong programming skills in Python, Tensorflow, Keras, and PyTorch and has led the development and deployment of AI models across multiple sites in Latin America. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Medicine from Unifesp and postgraduate degrees in Neuroradiology and Healthcare Management.
