Rajarshi Sanyal currently serves as a Plantae Editor for the American Society of Plant Biologists since November 2022, contributing to community engagement and content development. Sanyal is also a PhD Scholar at the National Institute of Plant Genome Research, focusing on plant science. Previously, Sanyal held the position of Plantae Fellow, participating in a crowdsourced initiative aimed at strengthening the global plant science community. During the academic tenure at Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya, Sanyal was elected as Class Representative for four years, demonstrating leadership and problem-solving skills, and led a team of 30 students as Project Team Leader during the Rural Agricultural Work Experience programme. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Photosynthesis and Development, a Master of Science in Plant Biochemistry, and a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture.
