Mary Pat T. has a diverse work experience in various organizations. From 2008 to 2009, they worked as an AmeriCorps*VISTA and Program Manager at South Carolina Campus Compact. In 2009, they joined the College of Charleston as an Assistant Director at the Center for Civic Engagement, where they worked until 2012. In the same year, they also worked as a Graduate Intern at The Green Heart Project. From 2013 to 2015, they served as the Manager for Student Programs at the Council on Undergraduate Research. Since 2015, they have been associated with The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), initially as a Program Manager for Academic Affairs and Research Education, and currently as the Associate Director of Research Education Programs.

Mary Pat T. completed their Executive Certificate in Facilitation from Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies in 2019. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) with a focus on Teaching, Learning, and Advocacy at the College of Charleston from 2010 to 2012. In 2008, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in History, Latin American Studies from Grinnell College.

Additionally, Mary Pat T. has obtained several certifications from LinkedIn, including Instructional Design Essentials: Models of ID, Instructional Design: Adult Learners, Instructional Design: Needs Analysis, and Instructional Design: Storyboarding, all obtained in February 2022.
