Sunil K. Pillai

Sunil Pillai is the Vice President of Environmental Quality at Golden State Water Company. Mr. Pillai has over 25 years of experience in the Environmental/Water Utility industry. He began his career with Golden State Water Company in 2003 as a Water Quality Engineer and over the years has held various managerial positions in Water Operations, Asset Management, and Environmental Quality. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Pillai worked as a Project Manager for the California Environmental Protection Agency and has also worked as a consultant in multiple Environmental Consulting firms in California.

Mr. Pillai has a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the College of Engineering, Trivandrum, India, and a Master’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering from the University of Oklahoma. He also holds a Professional Engineers (PE) License in Civil Engineering in the State of California.
