Michael Leoni

Director, Producer, Writer & Editor at American Street Kid

Originally from New York, Michael Leoni is a Los Angeles based Writer/Director with a passion for both theatre and film. He founded the socially conscious production company, An 11:11 Experience that pushes beyond the scope of traditional entertainment, challenges an audience’s beliefs and motivates a movement for positive change in society.

Leoni is making his feature film directorial debut with the release of American Street Kid on August 21, 2020. A powerful, festival award-winning, documentary that delves deep into the lives of homeless youth and ultimately plays out more like a narrative film about love, friendship, and the triumph of the human spirit.

Michael just completed his second feature film, #WhenTodayEnds, a narrative feature about teen suicide which is expected to be released in October 2020.

His most recent project, Famous, started as a stage play and had a successful 11 month run in Los Angeles. It is currently in post-production as a feature film where it uniquely blends the elements of both theatre and film.

Michael also wrote the book Dare to be Bad, which is available in bookstores and online at Amazon.com.

Currently, he has two films, a TV series and a stage musical in development.
