Aileen Jong has a diverse range of work experience in various organizations. Aileen served as the National Executive Chair for the Student Professionalism & Ethics Association (SPEA), where they organized the first virtual 2020 SPEA Annual Session and led a team of thirteen in coordinating objectives for several committees. Aileen also held the position of Chief Information Officer for SPEA, where they managed the national website and publications.
Additionally, Aileen was involved with the American Student Dental Association (ASDA), serving as the Vice President of the Alabama ASDA Chapter and overseeing various teams. Aileen also played a role in organizing the 2020 ASDA District 5 Meeting.
At the Student Professionalism & Ethics Association (SPEA) UAB School of Dentistry Chapter, Aileen held the role of Treasurer and Chief Information Officer. Aileen was responsible for budgeting, fundraising, and maintaining communication with members. Aileen also served as a Class Representative and advocated for professional behavior among students.
Aileen was a Founder and Vice President of Communications for PERIOD. at UAB, a public health organization focused on ending period poverty and stigma. In addition, they gained experience as a Planning Division Intern at Taiwan's National Health Insurance Administration and as a Student Ambassador and Publicity Chair for The University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Aileen Jong completed their high school education at William Fremd High School from 2009 to 2013. Aileen then pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where they studied from 2013 to 2017. Aileen furthered their education at the same university and obtained a Doctorate of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) in Dentistry, completing their degree from 2017 to 2021.
