Cynthia Phelps

Cynthia Phelps is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in technical editing and communications consulting. Currently serving as a Technical Editor at AMERICAN SYSTEMS since March 2023, Cynthia previously held roles as a Senior Communications Consultant at Nemean Solutions, LLC, and as a Senior Consultant at Client Solution Architects. Earlier experience includes teaching at Fairfax County Public Schools and revitalizing a website for WETA's Learning Media Department. With a background in bookkeeping at Curtin's Custom Cabinetry & Millwork and a long tenure as Production Manager at U.S. News & World Report, Cynthia has demonstrated expertise in managing publications and financial processes. Cynthia holds a BS in Computer Information Systems from Strayer University-Maryland and an MS in Software Engineering from Stratford University.
