Victor Bernet, MD, serves as a Professor of Medicine and Chair of the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at Mayo Clinic since September 2010. In addition to this role, Victor Bernet has been active in leadership positions at the American Thyroid Association since October 2015, including President, President Elect, and Secretary/Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Mayo Clinic, Victor Bernet was the Director of the NCC Endocrinology Fellowship Program at Walter Reed Army Medical Center from May 2005 to September 2010. Victor Bernet earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Virginia between 1985 and 1989 and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the Virginia Military Institute, where studies were completed from 1981 to 1985. Victor Bernet's foundational education also includes attendance at Benedictine High School.
