Ion Capatina is a seasoned Romanian interpreter and translator with a robust career spanning over three decades, beginning in 1985. Capatina has been associated with the American Translators Association since 2010 and operates as a freelance interpreter and translator since 2000, holding certifications from the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Culture in Romania. Proficient in English and Romanian, Capatina has significant experience within the court system in Minnesota and has collaborated with multiple translation companies, including LLS and Lionbridge. In addition to linguistic expertise, Capatina has a technical background in semiconductor testing systems, having worked as a Maintenance Specialist and Production Supervisor at Cypress Semiconductor from 2000 to 2008. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from the University of St. Thomas and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Craiova, Romania.
