Jacob Pierce is an accomplished professional with over a decade of experience in the transportation and education sectors. Currently serving as the Executive Director of the Safety Management Council and the Truck Safety Council at the American Trucking Associations since March 2013, Jacob has previously held the roles of Deputy Executive Director and Manager of Safety Programs within the organization. Prior to that, Jacob worked as a Case Coordinator at NACCRRA from August 2011 to March 2013 and as an English Teacher at Expertise Education Company Ltd. from May 2010 to July 2011. Jacob's career began as a Research Assistant at the Virginia Tech Transportation Institute from October 2008 to May 2010. Jacob holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Virginia Tech, earned between 2006 and 2009.
