Ellen Klene has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Ellen is currently working as the Senior Director, Contracts and Administration - Office of the Provost at American University. Prior to this, Ellen worked at iMMAP as the Finance and Contracts Director, where they managed contract and grant administration for a large portfolio of federal, United Nations, and international NGO funding. Ellen also served as the Grants and Contracts Administrator at the Center for Applied Linguistics, where they developed and implemented contract and grant administration functions. Ellen's previous roles include Program Manager at CMHS, where they implemented and managed federally-funded programs, and Director at Rota Animal Welfare League, where they provided financial and management leadership.
Ellen Klene earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Howard University, where they studied from 1989 to 1992. Ellen later pursued a Master of Public Administration degree at the University of Maryland Global Campus, completing their studies from 2000 to 2002.
