Jonathan R. Alger

Jonathan Alger currently serves as President of American University, a position held since July 2024. Previously, Jonathan Alger was President of James Madison University from July 2012 to June 2024. Jonathan Alger's earlier roles include Vice President and General Counsel at Rutgers University, which progressed to Senior Vice President in 2008, and Assistant General Counsel at the University of Michigan.
