Nick Jones

Nick Jones serves as the Associate Director for Residence Life at American University since January 2022, supervising a team of Community Directors and Assistant Community Directors while overseeing residential engagement for 1,800 residents. In addition to managing crises for over 11,000 students, Nick leads departmental initiatives and collaborates with academic units on Living-Learning Communities. Prior to this role, Nick worked at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign as a Residence Hall Director from July 2017 to January 2022, where responsibilities included supervising staff, addressing student conduct, and coordinating COVID-19 responses. Nick also served as an adjunct instructor and held graduate assistant positions at Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania while earning a Master of Arts in College Student Counseling and Personnel Services.
