Carita Parks, MBA, is a seasoned communications consultant with extensive experience in media relations and strategic communications across various sectors. Currently serving as the Media Relations Manager at the American Water Works Association since October 2023, Carita has previously held roles such as Communications Strategist at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory and Senior Communications Strategist at HDR. Additionally, Carita founded Parks Public Relations, specializing in sports, entertainment, and celebrity communications. With a strong background in managing internal and external communications for governmental organizations and non-profits, Carita has a proven track record in project management, message development, and brand enhancement. Carita holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from Jacksonville University and a Bachelor's degree in Communications from the University of North Florida.
