Mike Hiskey -

Mike Hiskey has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles and companies. Currently, they serve as the Director of IT at the American Water Works Association (AWWA), where they support the IT team in the effective management of water solutions. Prior to this, they worked at the University of Denver in various leadership positions, including Director of Academic, Research, and Emerging Technologies, Interim Director of Computer Operations, Director of Faculty/Staff Systems Support, and Director of Student Life (Budgets and) Technology. Mike also has experience as the owner and sole proprietor of Computer Comfort Consulting and has worked at Gart Sports and MBS Textbook Exchange in system operation and implementation specialist roles, respectively. Their extensive experience in leadership, technology, and customer service has equipped him with a wide range of skills and expertise.

Mike Hiskey earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia, where they studied from 1985 to 1990. In 2014, they pursued a Masters of Science degree in Organizational Leadership at the University of Denver, completing their studies in 2017. Additionally, they obtained various certifications, including "Transitioning from Waterfall to Agile Project Management," "Consulting Foundations," "Design Thinking: Understanding the Process," "Agile at Work: Planning with Agile User Stories," "DevOps Foundations," and "ITIL V3 Foundation." These certifications were obtained from institutions such as LinkedIn and Fruition Partners, with the most recent one being achieved in May 2018.
