Jose Lopez

Jose Lopez is an experienced maintenance and operations manager with a strong background in water and wastewater management. Currently serving as the Maintenance Manager at the Tampa Bay Desalination Plant for American Water since May 2022, Jose oversees the maintenance program, ensuring effective coordination among maintenance employees, operations, contractors, and clients. Previous roles include Area Maintenance Manager at Amazon, Quality Assurance Specialist at Joe Payne, and a series of managerial positions at the Puerto Rico Aqueduct & Sewer Authority, where responsibilities ranged from preventive maintenance management to direction of water distribution operations. Jose also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez, earned between 1992 and 1997.
