Justin Ettelson

Justin Ettelson is a seasoned business lawyer with extensive experience in securities regulation and capital markets. Currently serving as Director, SEC and Corporate Counsel at American Water since August 2021, Justin previously held the position of Capital Markets Attorney at Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr LLP from September 2007 to August 2021, focusing on broker-dealer regulations, public and private securities transactions, and mergers and acquisitions. Prior experience includes serving as Supervisor of Examiners at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority from July 1995 to June 2007, where responsibilities included overseeing broker-dealer examinations and assisting in enforcement actions. Justin began his career at the Philadelphia Stock Exchange as Manager of Examinations. Educational qualifications include a Juris Doctor from Rutgers Law School, an MBA from Drexel University's LeBow College of Business, and a BA in Economics from Brandeis University.
