Laurie Havanec

Laurie Havanec is an experienced human resources executive and board member currently serving on the board of American Water since December 2022. Prior roles include Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer at CVS Health from February 2021 to August 2024, and at Otis Elevator Co. from October 2019 to February 2021. Laurie has also held significant positions at United Technologies as Corporate Vice President of Human Resources from April 2017 to October 2019, and as CHRO for Aetna's Institution Businesses from January 2012 to March 2017. Earlier career highlights include serving as CHRO at UTC Fire & Security from December 2009 to January 2012. Laurie Havanec holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of Connecticut.
