Ben Taves

Ben Taves is an experienced professional in welding and technical education, currently serving as a CWI Seminar Instructor at the American Welding Society since February 2017, where classes prepare individuals for the AWS Certified Welding Inspector test. Taves has also been an inspector at Otto Rosenau & Associates Inc since January 2016, specializing in weld and special inspections for significant projects, including the Boeing 777x Composite Wing Building. A background in various roles includes welding inspection at National Welding Corp. and management at Pacific Metal Fabrication, along with leadership positions in education at South Seattle Community College and Lake Washington Institute of Technology. Taves founded Bennett-Cutter Industries, Inc., and holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Arts & Technology Education from State University College at Oswego.
