Payel Dutta Chowdhury

Payel Dutta Chowdhury, Ph.D., is a Marketing and Communications Content Specialist for the American Welding Society, with a focus on Asia, Africa, and Oceania since July 2024. Currently serving as a Consultant SME (English) at TCS iON, Payel engages in the development of assessments for competitive exams. Payel's academic contributions include roles as a Visiting Professor at Alliance University and Manipal Academy of Higher Education, teaching courses in Creative Writing and Research Methodology, respectively. With a distinguished career as Professor and Director at REVA University's School of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences and as Professor and Vice Principal at Garden City University, Payel has a strong foundation in higher education. Payel's educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in English from Assam (Central) University, along with multiple master's degrees in fields such as Journalism, Business Administration, and English. Payel also completed post-doctoral research at the Indian Institute of Advanced Study, focusing on the literature and culture of India’s Northeast Region.
