Mr. Petree founded AmeriCare Health & Retirement in 1984 and has served as its President, CEO, and Chairman since that time. From 1973 until 1984, he was an administrator at the 512-bed Mercy Hospital & Medical Center in San Diego, California. He served as an officer in the Civil Engineer Corp of the United States Navy from 1967 to 1971 with his last duty station at the 2,100-bed U.S. Naval Hospital in San Diego, California. Mr. Petree has been involved with healthcare management, marketing, and development since 1969.
