Eric Jovan Pérez López, MPH, serves as the Interim Senior Director of Latin America and Caribbean Programs at Americares, where responsibilities include managing operations, overseeing budget development, supporting program design, and fostering relationships with various stakeholders in Puerto Rico. With a robust background in public health and emergency response, Eric has held multiple leadership roles, including Country Director for Puerto Rico and Emergency Response Area Coordinator during Hurricane Maria. Experience also includes a tenure as Secretary for the Asociación de Salud Pública de Puerto Rico and positions at the CDC focusing on hemovigilance and Zika response. Eric holds a Master of Public Health from Ponce School of Medicine & Health Sciences and is currently pursuing an MBA at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras.
