Chris McCann

Chris McCann, P.Eng has a wide range of work experience in the mining industry. Chris is currently the Vice President of Technical Services at Americas Gold and Silver. Prior to this, they worked as an Independent Consultant, specializing in mining executive consulting. Chris also held the position of Director of Technical Services at Harte Gold Corp., where they were responsible for various operational and technical advisory roles. Chris has completed an International MBA from IE Business School and has interned at Appian Capital Advisory LLP. Earlier in their career, Chris worked at Goldcorp as a Senior Engineer and Production Coordinator, as well as a Mine Planner. Chris also gained experience as a Translator, Adventurer, Mining Engineer at AMEC, and an Assistant Project Manager at Sandvik.

Chris McCann, P.Eng has a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Mining Engineering from The University of British Columbia, which they obtained from 2003 to 2009. In 2019, they attended IE Business School and received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Business Administration and Management, General. In 2017, they obtained their Professional Engineer certification from Professional Engineers Ontario. Additionally, in 2019, they completed additional certifications in Bloomberg Market Concepts from Bloomberg LP, and Financial Statement Modeling, DCF Modeling, LBO Modeling, and M&A Modeling from Wall Street Prep.
