Yang Cong

Yang Cong, PhD, currently serves as the Manager of Digital/Data and Analytics at AmSty, a position held since March 2025. Prior experience includes roles as Director of Analytics at PureCycle Technologies, Data Science Manager at LyondellBasell, and Vice President of Data Science at Gryphon Oil & Gas, among others. Yang has a strong background in data science and analytics, demonstrated through significant projects in production optimization and asset evaluation across various organizations in the oil and gas sector, including Wood Mackenzie and Sanchez Oil & Gas Corporation. A founder of DataScienceMom, Yang is passionate about promoting data analytics and has extensive educational credentials, including a PhD in Computational and Applied Mathematics from The University of Hong Kong and multiple executive education programs from esteemed institutions such as Harvard Business School.
