Cfcp John Frary Cissp

John Frary has over 18 years of work experience in the field of cybersecurity and information assurance. John currently works as a Senior Operations Project Manager at GDIT since March 2019. Prior to that, they held positions at General Dynamics Information Technology, where they served as the Senior Manager Security Services -- Cloud Services and also as the Chief Cyber Architect in the Office of the CIO.

John also worked as a Council Member at the State of Louisiana Public Sector Economic Development in 2018 and as a Cyber Security Engineer Principal at CSRA supporting the Corporation for National and Community Service in 2015.

Before that, they had an extensive tenure at SRA International, where they held various roles such as Principal Cyber Security and Information Assurance Analyst, Principal Master Cyber Security and Information Assurance Analyst, and Senior Information Assurance Analyst and Consultant. During this time, they provided support to organizations such as Africom, Eucom, USEUCOM, and USAFRICOM, managing DIACAP packages, compliance, ATOs/ATCs, and IA needs.

John has also worked at Battelle as a PKI Technical SME for Army CIO/G-6 in 2015, at the Missile Defense Agency as the National Team Lead from 2005 to 2008, and at Advanced Systems Development as a Network Security Engineer from 2001 to 2003. Overall, they have a wealth of experience and expertise in cybersecurity and information assurance.

John Frary has a Master of Science in Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from the University of Maryland. John also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University. In addition to their academic qualifications, John has obtained certifications including CISSP from ISC2, C|CISO from Ec-Council, and NSA IAM-IEM from the NSA.
