Mayimona M. N.

Mayimona M. N. has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Mayimona M. began their career as a CO-OP Education Student/Legal Intern at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in 1995. From there, they worked as a Staff Accountant at Marriott International, where they generated financial reports and prepared statements for various entities.

In 1999, Mayimona joined Startec Global Communications as a Senior Accountant in Financial Analysis & Reporting. Mayimona M. was responsible for creating crystal reports and assisting with the implementation of Oracle Financials.

Mayimona M. then moved on to Sunrise Senior Living Services, Inc. in 2001, where they took on roles as a Senior Accountant in Investment Accounting & Reporting and Acting Portfolio Accounting Manager. Mayimona M. handled financial and accounting data, maintained investor information, and performed oversight on international accounting and reporting.

Mayimona's next position was as an Accounting Controller at The Stronach Group Racing and Gaming, where they managed the implementation of a new financial information system and maintained the chart of accounts.

In 2005, they joined the Corporation for National and Community Service as a Systems Accountant. Mayimona M. was responsible for financial management and reconciliation of grant funds, provided accounting expertise, and served as project manager and technical adviser.

Mayimona's most recent role at the Corporation for National and Community Service was as a Senior Systems Accountant (Project Manager), where they reviewed guidelines and manuals, performed reconciliations, and recommended enhancements to financial systems.

Throughout their career, Mayimona demonstrated strong analytical skills, expertise in financial reporting, and knowledge of accounting operations. Mayimona M. also gained leadership experience through the Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) Fellow at the Corporation for National and Community Service.

Mayimona attended Champlain College from 2020 to 2020 and obtained a Graduate Certificate in Leadership (G.C.L.) from the Robert P. Stiller School of Business.

From 2018 to 2020, they pursued their Master of Science in Accounting (M.S.A.) and a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) at Champlain College, both offered through the Robert P. Stiller School of Business.

Prior to their time at Champlain College, they attended the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business from 1995 to 1998, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Accounting.

Before their bachelor's degree, they studied at Montgomery College from 1993 to 1995, focusing on accounting.

Mayimona completed their high school education at Walter Johnson High School from 1991 to 1993, obtaining their H.S. Diploma (HSD) with a field of study in general studies and accounting.
