Stewart Leathwood

Information Technology Specialist at AmeriCorps

Stewart Leathwood has a diverse background in information technology. Stewart began their career in 1998 as a Data Comm Engineer at Cherokee Information Systems, where they supervised the Office of Information and Technology Help Desk and provided support for 700 Microsoft Windows 95 clients in a Microsoft Windows NT Domain. In 2000, they transitioned to AmeriCorps OIG as an Information Technology Specialist. From there, they moved to the Corporation for National and Community Service, where they continued their role as an Information Technology Specialist. In this position, they were responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the entire IT infrastructure, including migrating physical servers to a VMWare cluster, upgrading the Network OS to Windows 2012, and transitioning to Office 365. Stewart also upgraded all client computers to Windows 7 and Office 2013.

Stewart Leathwood completed their Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree from Old Dominion University. Stewart'sstudies at the university commenced in 1978 and concluded in 1982, during which they focused on the fields of Fine Arts and Psychology.
