Trent Smith has a diverse work experience that spans multiple industries and roles. Trent started their career as an Intern at Red Light Management, where they handled traveling issues and social media responsibilities for multiple bands. Trent then worked as a Sports Writer at Williamsburg-Yorktown Daily before moving on to Hampton Roads Academy. At Hampton Roads Academy, they served as the International Residence Coordinator & ESL Instructor, managing a team of Residential Advisors and 26 international students. Trent also coached the Girls Basketball team during their time there. Trent then joined Amerigo Education, where they held various roles including Associate Director of Campus Operations, Director of Campus Operations, and currently serves as the Director of Operations. In their current role, they provide guidance to all campuses/sites, serves as a link between field operations and other functions within the organization, and leads project groups to find practical solutions for the organization. Additionally, Trent was involved in the Student Hip-Hop Organization as the PR Chair/Co-Founder, curating and marketing events and conducting interviews with notable figures in the music industry.

Trent Smith attended the University of Virginia from 2009 to 2013, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree. Trent chose to major in English and had a minor in History.
