Nicole Badia

Special Projects Engineer at Amerijet International

Nicole Badia has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. In 2015, they attended a summer study abroad program at Syracuse University where they took advanced language classes in Spanish.

Following that, Nicole worked at Toyota North America as a Quality Engineering Co-op, where they collaborated with suppliers to improve the quality of door parts and reduce defects. Nicole also audited current door pieces and helped implement new parts to resolve issues at the Kentucky plant.

Nicole then moved on to a Production Control-Business Processes and Systems Management Co-op role at Toyota North America in 2016. Nicole'sresponsibilities included managing indirect parts, processing material corrections, and overseeing the material inventory process. Nicole also created a Toyota Business Practice to enhance the inventory parts search.

In 2017, Nicole held a Test Engineering Co-op position at LSI Solutions, where they conducted tests on suture devices and validated products for sale. Nicole also tested ideas for product improvement through re-processing devices and redesigning product and tool components.

Nicole joined The Walt Disney Company as a Digital Operations and Strategy Intern in the same year. During their internship, they initiated a shared supply chain roll-out for descriptive and technical metadata. Nicole collected data from stakeholders and identified areas for improvement in process mapping. Additionally, they created a current state process map for television episodic availability.

From 2018 to 2020, Nicole worked at the United States Postal Service as an Operations Industrial Engineer. Nicole was part of a two-year training program, which included Green Belt certification and AutoCAD training. In this role, they helped roll out Lean initiatives across all mail processes at the San Antonio plant. Nicole led Kaizen events for service performance, process improvement, and customer service.

Most recently, Nicole joined Amerijet International in 2020 as an Airline Industrial Engineer.

Nicole Badia received their Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology, completing their studies from 2013 to 2018.
