Dr. Blair Franklin has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and positions. Dr. Blair started their career in 1986 at TracyLocke, where they supervised marketing communications for consumer product companies and wrote business strategy articles. Dr. Blair then moved on to Edelman as a Vice President of Investor Relations & Research before joining Bustin & Co. as a partner, where they managed B2B marketing programs and crisis management situations. In 1999, Dr. Franklin became the Managing Partner at Cataport, where they raised $18 million in private equity investment for early-stage ventures. From 2001 to 2013, they worked at Ameripipe Supply, Inc., initially as the Vice President & Shareholder and later as the President & CEO, leading acquisitions, branding, and stakeholder negotiations. Currently, Dr. Franklin is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Pepperdine Graziadio Business School.
Dr. Blair Franklin has a diverse education history. In 1986, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Journalism with a focus on Public Relations from The University of Texas at Austin. After that, they pursued further education and completed a Certificate Program in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies at Southern Methodist University in 1993. In the same year, they also began taking Ph.D. classes in Economics & Finance at Texas A&M University. In 1992, they obtained an MBA degree in Finance from Pepperdine Graziadio Business School. Continuing their education, Dr. Franklin completed a Doctor of Business Administration degree in Causes of Workplace Behaviors from Pepperdine Graziadio Business School in 2021. Additionally, in 2018, they obtained a certificate in Optimizing Business Analytics from Texas A&M University.
