Ben Fong, CISSP, CCSP

Ben Fong, CISSP, CCSP has over 23 years of experience in the field of information technology. Ben is currently the Vice President of Infrastructure and Security Services at KalioTek, a position they have held since September 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Senior Director and then the Director of Infrastructure and Security Services at KalioTek.

Before joining KalioTek, Ben worked as an Infrastructure Architect Consultant at Kalio from February 2014 to April 2016. Ben also gained significant experience during their time at Moyo Group, where they held the positions of Senior Infrastructure Consultant and Infrastructure Consultant from April 2007 to April 2011.

Earlier in their career, Ben worked at Yahoo! as a Mobile Escalations specialist from April 2006 to April 2007. Ben also served as a Help Desk Analyst at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati from April 2002 to April 2006, and as an IT Administrator at 3GAP Internet Technologies from June 2000 to September 2000.

Ben began their career as an IT Support Technician at Cal Poly State University from October 1999 to May 2000. Prior to that, they worked as an IT Support Administrator at Asimba from June 1999 to September 1999, and as an IT Support Technician at Exar Corporation from June 1998 to September 1998.

Throughout their work experience, Ben has demonstrated expertise in infrastructure design, project management, technical support, and security services. Ben has also been involved in developing and implementing standardized IT processes and procedures to enhance efficiency.

Ben Fong, CISSP, CCSP, obtained their Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus in Management Information Systems from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo in the years 1997-2001.

In terms of additional certifications, Ben has achieved various qualifications throughout their career. In 2006, they obtained the Network Engineering and Management Professional Certification from UCSC Extension Silicon Valley. Ben went on to earn multiple certifications from VMware, including VTSP 4 - VMware Technical Sales Professional in 2009 and VTSP 5 - VMware Technical Solutions Professional in 2013.

Furthermore, they obtained the Microsoft Partner Network Sales and Marketing Competency for Server Platform certification from Microsoft in 2012. In 2014, Ben earned the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification from Amazon. Ben continued to expand their expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) by obtaining the AWS Technical Professional and AWS Business Professional certifications in 2013, followed by the VTSP 2015 - VMware Technical Solutions Professional certification in 2015.

Ben's commitment to their field is evident through their continued pursuit of knowledge. Ben obtained the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification in 2017, and the Certified Meraki Networking Associate (CMNA) certification from Cisco Meraki in 2018. Most recently, in 2019 and 2020, Ben obtained the Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) certification from (ISC)² and the Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) respectively.
