Joanie Thorpe

Joanie Thorpe is a seasoned claims specialist with extensive experience in workers' compensation, currently serving as a Senior Worker’s Compensation Major Case Unit Technician Claims Specialist at Amerisure Insurance since March 2015. In this role, responsibilities include collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance claim handling, conducting claim reviews, investigating claims, establishing reserves, and resolving disputes with legal and departmental entities. Previously, Joanie worked at Travelers from 1998 to 2015 as a Critical Claims Manager, leveraging deep knowledge of legal statutes and medical conditions to negotiate settlements, manage high exposure claims, and ensure effective communication with all parties. Joanie holds an Associate Degree in Business from Minneapolis Business College.
