Richard Adamson Jr. has a diverse range of work experience spanning several industries. Richard started their career as an Agricultural Farm Support at The Backyard Bouquet Farm, Incorporated from June 2004 to November 2006. Richard then worked as a Produce Clerk/Natural Foods Assistant Manager at The Kroger Company for 12 years, from June 2003 to June 2015. In October to December 2014, they served as an Information Technology Support Specialist at Britt Manufacturing. From June 2015 to February 2016, Richard worked at IBM as a Cyber Security Specialist, gaining experience in site security administration, ethical hacking, system security monitoring, and security tools installation and maintenance. Richard also had exposure to Agile and Scrum mobility environments and performed general system administration of Linux and Windows. Richard then joined the SANS Institute from October 2015 to January 2017 as a Cyber Security Quality Content Tester, where they further honed their skills in the field. Richard worked as a Laser Operations Production Associate at Gestamp from August 2016 to February 2017. In March to May 2017, they were an IT Specialist at WITRON Group. Additionally, Richard served as a PC Break/Fix Field Technician (Contract) at SMARTECH & Associates, LP from June to September 2017. Richard then joined DXC Technology (Formerly Hewlett-Packard Enterprise) as a Level 1 IT Help Desk Service Agent from September 2017 to April 2019. Lastly, they are currently employed at AmeriTrust Group, Inc. as a Help Desk Admin Analyst since April 2019 and also holds the role of Security Administrator since April 2021.

Richard Adamson Jr. has a strong educational background in the field of information technology and security. Richard began their education journey at Almont Jr/Sr High School, where they obtained their high school diploma in general studies in 2004. Following this, they attended the Lapeer Education & Technology Center from 2003 to 2004, focusing on computer networking and internet certification training.
