Andi Billig

Technical Director, Building Engineer at Ames Center

Andi Billig has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. In their most recent role, Andi works as a Videographer with Mill City Video, providing legal deposition video recording and playback services. They collaborate with court reporters to merge transcripts and videos, facilitating easy access to key points for trial cases. Prior to this, Andi held the position of Technical Director and Building Engineer at Ames Center since 2009, where they oversee technical operations, maintain equipment, and manage the building's mechanical systems. They also served as the Public Awareness Manager and Downstream Analytical Engineer at Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance from 2005, focusing on marketing, web maintenance, and event registration. As a founding member of The Chameleon Theatre Circle, Andi served as the Technical Director, managing lighting and sound for numerous productions, while also maintaining company records and performing graphic design duties. Additionally, Andi has experience as a self-employed Graphic Designer and IT professional, as well as a role as a Production Coordinator at Kiwi Design, where they produced graphics and managed pre-press work for a menu sign company. They also worked as an Aquarist III, Dive Coordinator, and Life Support Engineer at UnderWater World, responsible for exhibit maintenance, animal care, and training new divers. Andi's career began as a Graphic Designer in the meteorological services field at Kavouras, Inc., where they created weather maps and images for customers.

Andi Billig attended Minnehaha Academy from 1983 to 1988 and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biology, Animal Behaviour, and Marine Animals from North Park University between 1989 and 1992.
