Kelly Bergman

Kelly Bergman is an experienced professional in the fields of geosciences and educational outreach, currently serving as the Education and Outreach Program Manager at Ames National Laboratory since February 2022. Prior to this role, Bergman worked as a Regional Manager for the Iowa Governor's STEM Advisory Council from December 2017 to February 2022. With a robust background at C12 Energy, LLC, Bergman held positions as VP of Geosciences and Senior Geologist, where management of the Geoscience team and coordination of field evaluation efforts were key responsibilities. Earlier experience includes roles as Project Geologist at C12 Energy, Inc., and Petroleum Earth Scientist at Chevron, where significant contributions to offshore exploration and reservoir characterization were made. Bergman's career began with an internship at Texaco focusing on carbonate stratigraphy. Academic credentials include a PhD in Marine Geology & Geophysics from the University of Miami.
